The problem.Today companies are communicating to the customer from a number of different business applications. A bank for example has one system for loans, one for accounts and one for trade. These systems are often unaware of each others existence, which results in several letters being sent to the same receiver the same day. Sometimes even with the same marketing insert. The customer view the bank as one vendor but the bank view the single individual customer as several. (one/system)The extra cost is obvoius when you get up to 4-5 letters a day from one vendor and it's not giving the optimal impression of the company in question.The solution.To solve these issues 21 Grams offers an electronic printfile collection outside these systems. This function is merging several smaller jobs into fewer bigger ones and enables co-distribution if several document meant for the same receiver. It also enables each run to become bigger which gives better postage discount too. The collection is typically set to wait for letterfiles in 12-48 hours.The backend systems will produce the print-files in different formats, either made for print (AFP, PCL eller Postscript), or in raw format (made for design at the printhouse later). The coSend service are supporting
